Skunks

We woke up Tuesday morning with two dead skunks in our yard. Sean was unwilling to go and pick it up, so we waited for Mike to come home and pick it up. He even buried it, his Mom approved

The bad news is that his Mom has been in the hospital for a week, she has been throwing up so the have not been letting her eat or drink. Her lips and mouth are so dry from the lack of water. The IV has caused fluid to build up in her lungs. Her liver is pushing out enzymes and she has been throwing up for a whole week.

Summer Fun

Kelse y and Hailey swimming this summer, today they swam for probably 5 hours, they were so tired. Sean, Chris and Alex had fun playing Marco Polo and Fish out of Water. Mike came down and helped Delyle and Laurie pack a storage pod. Fun, fun, fun in the sun.

Sean and I played basketball, I think Sean was a little surprised how good some of the women were, he had to bring his A game and he was a little surprised.

Laurie's Birthday

We took Laurie to lunch at Olive Garden today for here birthday. I totally surprised her. Yeah, she almost cancelled on me. We had soup, salad and cake. I think it made her feel good that people would come to her birthday. The waitress did an awesome job, she had everyone sing it was great. I so got her good, I can't believe that she didn't catch on, I tried so hard to play it cool, when she thought she might have to cancel.

Frustration/Burnout

I am so ready for school to be over. I just need a vacation, and time to just veg without having any commitments. My Organizational Behavior Class is causing me stress, I am still not sure what she wants, and what I need to do exactly. This is causing a lot of stress and strain.

I am just glad school is over for the kids, and a lot of their activities.

Softball and baseball turned out not to be that positive for me or the kids. Its hard to put out a lot of energy and have it handed back mushed up. Thats life.

Kelsey playing softball

The girls came along way. When we first started, the girls could barley catch a ball. They were catching balls, and throwing girls out. The first inning every girl hit the ball in the first 3 pitches. It moved a long really quick. Its amazing how good the girls have gotten. Go ASTROS

Kelsey

hair,hair, hair

I actually was able to change the colors and background, hurray

Well the saga with my hair, I have been to the hair dresser 3 times in a week, once to keratin straighten, once to color, once to wash out the keratin and cut. So it has been a hair, hair, hair week

Rain

It looks like the last track meet will be rained out again, as will Sean baseball game. Thats two for two on the track meet. Kelsey is going to be disappointed, the kids are winding down with school and it is the mad dash to get all of the last minute things done. Sean has 8th grade graduation next week, and it is a big deal, not quite as big as High School graduation, but its up there.

I am suppossed to go to the temple tommorow, the rain may make it a little difficult to get into the city. Hopefully not.

Field Trip

I went with Kelsey class on there field trip to Foster Fields Farm in Morristown, NJ It is a working farm the kids washed clothes on a wash board and hung them up to dry, they feed the chickens, ground the corn for the chickens, saw piglets fighting. Churned cream to make butter. Kelsey is with one of her classmates named Samantha and her teacher Miss Reilly is in the background.

Derek

Spencer took Derek and his companion out to eat while visiting in Huntington Beach, Californiaa. Looks like there was a lot of good food on the table.

Hot and Sunny

Seans away Kelsey and I are playing at Frog Falls water park at Picatinny Arsenal. We go right after school, I do homework and she plays on the waterslide and swims, today she brought her friend Sierra Violet to swim. They did not want to leave, we even had dinner at the pool. It is not something we do very often, but I think the girls had a lot of fun.

Tommorow is Field Trip to Foster Fields Hurray (just kidding).

Working at Macys over the weekend, Spencer took Derek and his Companion out for dinner. Derek looked really happy. It is the first time in 20 years I haven't worried about him. Its an awesome feeling.

Kelsey's a Brownie

Well its official, Kelsey is a brownie girl scout. We had her crossover at Camp Jefferson. It was on the stage with backdrop of the lake. It was really pretty.

Sean is on his 8th grade trip, I hope he has a great time.

Schools going okay, still having a hard time getting the Orghanizational Behavior class organized in my head. Ugh.

Feeling a little stressed, trying to get everything organized and done.
